Austin Scheetz
Austin Scheetz serves as a Social Scientist Specialist for the National Coordination Office (NCO). In this role he coordinates the Coasts Interagency Working Group and the Social Sciences Coordinating Committee.
Austin is trained as an environmental social scientist focused on how different groups of people respond to environmental changes. Austin works at the nexus of the social and natural sciences, with research ranging from topics such as perceptions of flood risk in the US to livestock rearing practices in Kenya.
Austin holds a Masters degree in environmental economics from Yale University and a B.S. in environmental science from Purdue University.
