Interagency Task Force on Sea Level Change

The Interagency Task Force on Sea Level Change fosters meaningful interagency collaboration and consensus on the science of sea level change and associated impacts, ensuring that information is usable for decision-makers and reflective of the current state of the science. The Task Force:

  1. Serves as the primary federal forum for enhancing awareness and fostering coordination of interagency sea level change science;

  2. Provides editorial input for and curation of the content appearing on joint federal sea level resources;

  3. Publishes a summary of sea level change science to serve as a foundational input to the National Climate Assessment; and

  4. Works with federal agencies to ensure that federal sea level information represents the latest state of the science that is fit-for-purpose, nationally consistent, and authoritative.

The Task Force is excited to launch SeaLevel.GlobalChange.gov, which delivers the latest science on sea level change and its related impacts. This resource was co-created and co-developed by Task Force agencies with the goal of producing a next-generation, all-of-government interactive public delivery of federal sea level change information. The Task Force currently has representatives from DOD, DHS, EPA, NASA, NOAA, USACE, USAID, and USGS.
