USGCRP Welcomes Allison Crimmins as Director of the Fifth National Climate Assessment

The U.S. Global Change Research Program is pleased to announce that Allison Crimmins will serve as Director of the Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5). She is detailed to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Air and Radiation. As Director, Allison will oversee production of an authoritative report designed to help Americans understand and prepare for the impacts of climate change.

Allison is a climate scientist with expertise in assessing health and economic damages associated with climate change. She brings nearly ten years of federal experience at EPA leading and contributing to complex scientific assessments and communicating the impacts of climate change to diverse audiences. Allison previously served as an author of the Fourth National Climate Assessment and lead author of USGCRP’s 2016 Climate and Health Assessment.
