The book concludes that in order to ensure that all levels of government, the private sector, and millions of households and individuals are contributing to shared national goals, the United States should establish a "budget" that sets a limit on total domestic greenhouse emissions from 2010-2050.

National Climate Assessment - Climate Change Modeling and Downscaling

The National Climate Assessment (NCA) Report Series summarizes regional, sectoral, and process-related workshops and discussions being held as part of the Third NCA process. This workshop focused on questions, issues, and methodological perspectives regarding the use of mathematical models for the NCA, as well as the complexities that arise when applying data and models to multiple spatial and temporal scales. The workshop was held in Arlington, VA on December 8-10, 2010. Volume 7 of the NCA Report Series summarizes the discussions and outcomes of this workshop.

National Climate Assessment: Ecological Indicators Workshop Report

This workshop focused on developing indicators for ecosystem responses to climate change and integrating observational networks. The workshop was held in Washington, DC on November 30-December 1, 2010.
