This report is the contribution of Working Group III to the IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report. It includes a detailed assessment of costs and potentials of mitigation technologies and practices, implementation barriers, and policy options for key sectors such as energy and agriculture.
The two-volume report from the IPCC's Working Group II 1) assesses risks and opportunities for societies, economies, and ecosystems around the world, and 2) considers unique features of major world regions.
The Working Group III contribution to the IPCC’s Fifth Assessment Report provides a comprehensive assessment of all relevant options for mitigating climate change through limiting or preventing greenhouse gas emissions, as well as activities that remove them from the atmosphere.
This report summarizes the Working Group II contribution to the IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report on climate change. It considers the vulnerability and exposure of human and natural systems, the observed impacts and future risks of climate change, and the potential for and limits to adaptation.
