This report is an educational summary of the Snow, Water, Ice, and Permafrost in the Arctic (SWIPA) assessment. SWIPA brings together the latest scientific knowledge about the changing state of each component of the Arctic cryosphere and examines how these changes will affect the Arctic, its inhabitants, and people elsewhere in the world.
