Our Marriott Hotel "government rate" block of rooms reservation deadline has passed (April 12). However, as of April 16 they still have rooms available at the government rate but that could change at any time. The Marriott will provide you with the next available rate upon request. Reservations can be made on-line at the Fort Collins Marriott Website or by calling a reservation agent. Registration for the hotel is as follows: (this information was faxed from the Marriott)
Via Internet:
Via 800 Number or Fort Collins Local Number:
Please call 800-548-2635 or 970-226-5200 to speak to a reservation agent. Please tell the reservation agent that you are attending the USGS/Global Change meeting (Group Code glogloa) and give the agent your check-in and check-out dates.
See the maps and driving directions from Denver International Airport to locate the hotel.
Below is a list of other options available near the conference location that have government rate rooms available.
If you are interested in coming into Fort Collins early, the Fort Collins Marriott is booked at the government rate. However, the Courtyard by Marriott has plenty of rooms available for the evening of April 29th and they will provide shuttle service to the conference. We have put 9 government-rate rooms ($76) on hold just in case the request arises. 9 rooms was the maximum we could hold; however, they informed us that availability shouldn't be a problem if more are needed.
If in fact the Courtyard does book up or you prefer something different, the Hampton Inn has plenty government-rate ($76) rooms available as well.
If you are interested in staying around Fort Collins an extra night (May 3rd), the Fort Collins Marriott has informed us that they have rooms available at the government rate ($76). The Courtyard by Marriott and the Hampton Inn also have rooms for May 3rd.
