As Engagement and Communications Lead, Katie Reeves cultivates the stakeholder participation and communication activities of the National Coordination Office. Katie is responsible for USGCRP's engagement strategy, including the Progam's interactions with global change information consumers, federal agencies, and expert communities. She also leads the development of communications and outreach products to supplement USGCRP activities, and serves as the liaison to the Social Sciences Coordinating Committee.

Katie previously served as Engagement and Communications Associate, handling USGCRP's social media presence and publication design. She came to the Program from Metro (a regional government office in Portland, Oregon), where she was posted as a Hatfield Resident Fellow and Policy Coordinator to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Prior to her graduate studies, Katie spent more than 10 years with the University of Michigan's Athletic Department. Her expertise is in public engagement with science and science communication.

She holds a Master of Public Policy degree, a graduate certificate in Science, Technology, and Public Policy, and a B.A. in Communications, all from the University of Michigan.
