Dr. Fabien Laurier (formerly USGCRP Deputy Director) is currently on a detail at the White House Council on Environmental Quality where he serves as Advisor for Climate Change Adaptation.
Before joining the USGCRP in August 2006, Fabien was a research scientist at the University of Maryland. His work focused on mercury pollution and ocean-atmosphere interactions and their implications for ocean chemistry. Fabien Laurier received his Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in Oceanography from Sorbonne/ Paris Diderot University (Paris, France) and his Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences in 1998 from the same University.
